High purity F6H8 ® Vitreous Substitute opens new dimensions in vitreous and retinal surgery
F6H8 ® serves as an endotamponade for complicated retinal detachments and as an intraoperative instrument for retinal surgery. Due to the significantly reduced density compared to conventional perfluorocarbon fluids, F6H8 ® offers significant advantages especially for the surgical procedure of retinal translocation . In addition, F6H8 ® is excellently suited as a biocompatible solvent for the removal of silicone oil residues from the vitreous cavity as well as for the cleaning of intraocular lenses after a silicone oil tamponade.
